Organizations

An organization is the top-level container in NewsTeam. Everything you create and manage in the platform — sites, buckets, feeds, articles, assets, users, and more — lives inside an organization.

When you first sign up, you automatically receive a private organization. From there, you can create one or more organizations for your business, brands, or projects.

Users are always added to an organization, and their permissions determine what they can see and do:

  • Some users may have access to the entire organization.
  • Others may only have access to specific entities, such as feeds, articles, or workflows.
  • Permissions can be applied at a granular level, even down to a single article or asset.

This ensures you can give editors, contributors, and administrators the right level of access without exposing everything to everyone.

NewsTeam is designed so reader identity, entitlement logic, and commercial context can be handled at the organization level rather than reinvented separately for every product.

An organization can connect identity and billing integrations, expose subscription products to public sites, and create content policies from the entitlement keys those billing integrations return.

This means a policy such as Premium can be shared across products while the actual subscription products, prices, and provider-specific identifiers stay inside the billing integration.

  • Sponsors can be attached at the organizational level or scoped to specific sites.
  • Creators (journalists, photographers, podcasters, etc.) are managed centrally, but can also be linked to individual sites.

This flexibility lets you showcase brand-specific contributors while keeping a single source of truth inside the organization.

Within an organization, resources are designed to be reusable:

By keeping everything inside an organization, NewsTeam ensures your content, assets, and users remain consistent, connected, and easy to manage.
