Marketplace & Aggregation

The Marketplace & Aggregation feature is part of NewsTeam’s long-term roadmap. It is not yet available in the current release, but represents our vision of a connected ecosystem where organizations can share, license, and collaborate on content and resources directly through the platform.

The Marketplace will allow organizations to make their content available to others in a secure, structured way.

Other organizations will be able to discover, license, and purchase content directly inside NewsTeam — without needing external agreements or complex integrations.

Supported content types will include:

  • Articles
  • Images
  • Videos
  • Audio
  • Documents

This system will enable publishers to expand reach, diversify revenue, and open new opportunities for distribution across the industry.

Beyond buying and selling, organizations will also be able to syndicate or aggregate content from partners.

Examples include:

  • Subscribing to a regional news wire for local coverage.
  • Bringing in a video or image feed from a partner newsroom.
  • Integrating an external library directly into your feeds or buckets.

This ensures that aggregated content flows naturally into your editorial workflows, ready to use alongside your in-house production.

The Marketplace will not be limited to content. A key goal is to connect organizations with specialist resources they may need on demand:

  • Hiring a videographer for a breaking news story.
  • Bringing in a sub-editor during high-volume periods.
  • Engaging a data journalist for investigative projects.

All of this will happen within NewsTeam, with permissions and collaboration managed by the platform. This means you can extend newsroom capacity without losing control of workflows or data.

⚠️ Note: Marketplace & Aggregation features are future plans and not available in the current release. They reflect our commitment to building an industry-wide ecosystem that supports collaboration, sustainability, and growth.
