About NewsTeam

NewsTeam exists because publishing infrastructure became a tax on journalism.

We built NewsTeam around a simple idea: publishers should have strong digital teams, but those teams should not have to spend their lives reinventing the same CMS stack, migration work, and integration plumbing over and over again.

WHY WE ARE THE TEAM TO BUILD THIS

The team behind NewsTeam has spent years building and evolving publishing systems in real newsroom environments. That includes deep work across Redactor, CosMoS, multi-brand publishing projects, reader-revenue infrastructure, and product transformation inside serious news organizations.

NewsTeam is the result of learning where the old models break:

  • Generic CMS tools that fit journalism badly.
  • Enterprise systems that are hard to evolve.
  • Custom stacks that quietly turn publishers into software maintenance teams.
What we believe

The platform should help the whole network get better over time.

NewsTeam is intentionally built as one evolving platform because a shared system compounds value far better than a landscape of isolated customer forks. That is true for smaller publishers who have historically been priced out, and it is true for larger organizations who are tired of paying the migration tax every time the product needs to change.

Built by a team with deep publishing-platform experience across Redactor, CosMoS, and multi-brand newsroom transformation work.

Grounded in real newsroom constraints, not generic CMS assumptions.

Focused on digital publishing as a shared platform problem, not a bespoke-services business forever.
